Erin | When candidates come into MHC&S offices for an interview, they can tell right away that this is not your typical accounting firm. Everyone in the office seems to know each other by name. People are working hard, but even at busy times, you see smiles and hear laughter. Brand-new employees are working with senior partners. And at five o’clock, you see a lot of empty desks. What gives?
Well, we’re a little different. For us, accounting is more than an academic discipline. It’s a passion, and it’s a tool for helping our clients achieve their personal and business goals. We’re not the largest firm in Iowa, but we think our size works to our advantage. Internships
We encourage interested students to apply for an internship. These vary in length and nature depending on time of year, the applicant’s areas of interest and the firm’s needs at the time. Interns receive the same training as new hires and work on a variety of exciting projects.
Our staff includes graduates from Iowa State, University of Iowa, University of Northern Iowa, Drake University, Simpson College, Grandview College, Upper Iowa, Creighton University, Northwest Missouri State, AIB and others.
