May 15 -- Nonprofit organizations are required to file their informational returns. File Form 990 and 990-T if applicable. 
 
Quickbooks Training Classes

QuickBooks Training Classes, offered by McGowen Hurst Clark & Smith, P.C., will be held on Monday, May 3, and Thursday, June 3, from 4pm-8pm at Small Business Technology Services, 1906 Ingersoll Avenue, Suite 12, Des Moines. Our QB training class is geared for beginner to intermediate users. It is a hands-on class with each participant having access to a computer. New HIRE Act
 
On March 18, 2010, a new law, known as the Hiring Incentives to Restore Employment (HIRE) Act was passed by Congress. The HIRE Act is intended to stimulate employment by, among other things, providing $17.6 billion in tax incentives to businesses to hire unemployed workers, and extending a small business expensing tax break.
